Vijay Deverakonda today emerged from an Enforcement Directorate (ED) inquiry, reiterating the distinction between legal gaming apps and illegal betting platforms. The actor, who was questioned in connection with a probe into the promotion of betting applications, urged the media to help educate the public on the difference. He asked the media to learn about the issue with the help of Google.
Speaking to reporters, he stated that he had endorsed A23, a platform he described as a "completely legal and registered" gaming app. He highlighted that "similar platforms like My11Circle and Dream11 are also registered and sponsor major national events, including the Indian cricket team, the Olympics, the IPL, and the WPL". This is a piece of information not many know of.
He added that even courts consider the endorsement of the gaming apps as legitimate. These are considered skill-based.
On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda is fresh off the success of Kingdom. His upcoming movies, directed by Rahul Sankrityan and Ravi Kiran Kola, will be looking at extraordinary openings.
