Sambarala Yeti Gattu is Sai Durgha Tej's upcoming movie. Produced by K Niranjan Reddy and Chaitanya Reddy, the movie is directed by newcomer Rohit KP. September 25, 2025 is when it will head to theatres.
The makers have claimed that the budget of the mystical thriller is a whopping Rs 125 Cr. This number is astronomical for a movie starring a Tier-2 actor like Sai Tej. For perspective, the budget of Naga Chaitanya's Thandel allegedly breached the Rs 90 Cr mark, shocking everyone. Given this, Rs 125 Cr on Sai Tej's movie is uber-shocking.
The director of Sambarala Yeti Gattu is a debutant who is untested. It would have been a case of extraordinary overspending even if the budget was Rs 80 Cr or something.
Producers Niranjan and Chaitanya have previously bankrolled HanuMan. They spent something like Rs 75 Cr on that Teja Sajja movie. But it was an outlier case: the Sankranthi release became a sensational hit. Black Swan events don't happen every time. Let's just hope the genre and content of Sambarala Yeti Gattu are going to do some box office magic. The film must become a hit in both Telugu and Hindi for it to become a safe project.
