The Mega finals of Zee Telugu’s SMT ANDHRA PRADESH were held on 8th July, Saturday at RNR Auditorium, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Top 10 finalists who were short-listed from nearly 2500 participants from across AP presented them selves in a confident, poise manner in front of distinguished judges and guests.
Starting with Theme Round, Introduction Round,Talent Round, Situation handling Round and finally Judges question round decided the finalists among the top 10.Answering to a question:If your husband opposes to your social service, how do you react? — Smt. Swarnamai of Hyderabad told that she would save a little from her hard earnings of fashion designing and not being extravagant and try to help the poor at her level best.” Answering to another question:Crowned as “Srimathi Andhra Pradesh”, being a public figure, I would use my image to help society in a positive manner was impressive enough for her to become ”Winner-Srimathi Andhra Pradesh” Judges Choice. She was awarded “Best Confidence” title too.
Another top 10 finalist Smt. Vanditha, who doesn’t wanted to be one among many but standout as a special person, won the hearts of people and chosen as ”Winner-Srimathi Andhra Pradesh”viewers Choice with the highest no. of SMS count. She manages an Ad agency and other businesses and is interested interior decoration and specialized in Rangoli. She was thrilled being crowned as winner and was excited to see the happiness in her friends and family members eyes. She also won ”Santoor Youngest Skin” & “Andamaina Cheerakattu” titles.

“Best Home Maker ” won by Smt Priya Darshini rao of Calcutta”
“Best Smile” won by Smt Hema Silpa Uppala of Vizag.
Directors Smt Vijaya Nirmala, Sri YVS Chowdhary, Sri Neelakantha, Character artist & comedian Sri Mallikarjuna Rao, Character Artist Smt ‘Delhi’ Rajeshwari, Ms. Deepa , Henko Regional Manager Mr. Naidu, Kalamandir’s Mr. Kalyan graced the occasion as Judges. The event was presented by young & dynamic anchor Mr.Omkaar.

In its endeavor to do something different, and salute the efforts and hardships of the married women, Zee Telugu has come up with an innovative concept of awarding the title of ‘Srimathi Andhra Pradesh’ to the most deserving and extraordinary woman of AP.
Nearly 2500 aspirants took part in this event from all over AP. From every district 8 participants were selected. Extensive footage of the short listed candidate in and around her home and workplace and interviews of their family, friends and colleagues was grabbed into the camera, to delve into the reasons and facets of these something special, extraordinary, successful, complete woman nominated to become Srimati Andhra Pradesh. And the same was presented to the viewers and with their valuable judgment 2 contestants from each district were finalized and invited to Hyderabad providing the required facilities.
With about 50 contestants vying for the title at the prelims, the first 10 episodes of Srimati Andhra Pradesh featured five contestant in each episode of which the 20 Best will be selected for the next round. After eliminations 16 reached Semifinals Round. Finally from the 16 Best, 10 contestants were short listed for the finals as Top 10 Finalists with 50% marks given by Judges and 50% by viewers poll through SMS.
