Who Ruled the Box Office? Senior Telugu Actors' Post-Pandemic Report Card Revealed

Based on the data put out by Daily Culture, a BO tracker, we have made a qualitative analysis of how senior Telugu actors have fared in the post-pandemic era. The analysis is based on the performance of their films, ranked from best to worst performing actor:

Balakrishna: The actor emerges as the strongest performer. He delivered two blockbusters (Akhanda, Veera Simha Reddy) and a hit (Bhagavanth Kesari), alongside an above-average film (Daaku Maharaaj). He awaits the release of Akhanda 2 this year on Dasara.

Venkatesh: He ranks highly, buoyed by a huge blockbuster (Sankranthiki Vasthunam) and an above-average film (F3). Despite a disaster (Saindhav), he remains a top performer.

Ravi Teja: His performance is a mixed bag. He scored two blockbusters (Krack, Dhamaka) but was hit hard by multiple disasters (Khiladi, Rama Rao On Duty, Ravanasura, Tiger Nageswara Rao, Mr Bachchan) and an average film (Eagle). Mass Jathara is his next theatrical release.

Nagarjuna: He had a balanced run with a hit (Bangarraju) and another hit (Naa Saami Ranga). However, disasters (Wild Dog, The Ghost) indicate struggles when projects lack strong commercial elements, placing him in the middle tier.

Chiranjeevi: He fares the worst among the senior heroes. Despite a blockbuster (Waltair Veerayya, co-starring Ravi Teja), his record is marred by two colossal disasters (Acharya, Bholaa Shankar) and a disaster (Godfather).

If you go by the maximum number of flops delivered by an actor, Ravi Teja ranks as the worst. Krack, which was released amid no competition from other big Telugu stars, benefited from box-office appetite to watch a mass movie after nine months of lockdown.
