Yet another beauty from the north stepped into Telugu film industry. Yes, we are talking about none other than the gorgeous Kriti Sanon, the heroine of superstar Mahesh Babu’s ‘1’ - Nenokkadine. This Delhi born beauty completed B.E. in Electronics and entered the modeling field in 2010 and participated in several fashion shows like Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, India International Jewelry week, Chennai International Fashion week, etc. Kriti endorsed popular brands like Samsung, Close-up, Amul, Vivel and Himayala before signing the Telugu film ‘1’. Now she is set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Tiger Shroff in 1983 remake movie ‘Heropanti’. The model turned actress is very excited to be part of 14 Reels Entertainment’s pretigious movie ‘1’, which has been made on par with Hollywood standards under Sukumar’s direction. The film opened to theaters with mixed talk. So let’s here from Kriti what she has to say about the film. Here are few excerpts from the chit chat:
What can you tell us about your debut film ‘1’?
Those who watched ‘1’ liked it. The family audience is gradually coming to theaters to watch the film. I consider myself lucky for getting a wonderful opportunity of being part of this film during my acting debut. I watched this film with my family members. They kind off understood the film even though they couldn’t follow the language.
What is it like working with Mahesh Babu?
I saw the commercial ads done by Mahesh. But I never thought that I would act with Mahesh in a film. He is a very cool person. Whatever the scene may be, however serious the scene may be, once the cameras are off, he is very lively and fun.
How was your rapport with other unit members?
All were very sweet. I was treated like a small kid and was taken care off very well. I can’t speak Telugu. But I boldly performed only with the support of the film unit.
What are going to say about the negative feedback for the poster?
That still on the poster is a part of the song. But that will not continue through the film, right? That scene was shot for a romantic song. I never felt anything wrong in it.
What are you most looking forward in Tollywood?
People are recognizing me wherever I go and addressing me as ‘Mahesh heroine’. That’s enough for me. I would like to act in many more Telugu films. I’ve not yet signed any.
