Mahesh Babu’s ‘Spyder’, one of the most anticipated films of this year, will soon be released on September 27. Directed by AR Murugadoss, ‘Spyder’ will have Mahesh Babu playing an intelligence officer. The film stars Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead, while SJ Surya will be seen as the antagonist. ‘Spyder’ is being produced by Tagore Madhu and NV Prasad under NVR Cinema LLP and Reliance Entertainment banners with Tagore Madhu as presenter. On the eve of film’s release, Mahesh Babu has a chit chat with the media. Read on to know what he has said about his upcoming release.
Tell us little about the working experience with the director of the film?
‘Spyder’ is going to be released on September 27. I am most excited about the film. Working with a great director like Murugadoss is a great experience. Our team and I worked together for one and a half year for the film. I have been wanting to work with Murugadoss garu since 10 years. It happened now. It’s a proper bi-lingual film. I am very happy to be working for Telugu and Tamil. Working with Murugadoss garu is like a dream come true for me. I am excited very much.
Tell us about your working experience in a bi-lingual film?
Telugu artists are different. Working simultaneously in both languages on the same day is really a new experience. Initially, I entered the field thinking that there would be no difference between Telugu and Tamil and it would be just an extra take. After three days, I realised that doing bi-lingual film is not a simple job. After taking 5 to 6 takes in Telugu, again I had to take 5 to 6 takes in Tamil. Close-ups also took the same duration. It is like remaking the film on the same day.
How do you describe ‘Spyder’?
Technically, ‘Spyder’ is a superb movie. It’s a highest budget film in my career. We took due care regarding promos and teaser and in every aspect. You find many exciting elements in the film. We have picturised the film with unique concept. You must watch it on the big screen.
Tell us about SJ Surya
SJ Surya played villain in the film. I met him several times as a director. At first, I didn’t understand when Murugadoss garu told me that SJ Surya is the villain in the film. After two day of starting the film, I understood that he is perfectly apt to the role. You too will understand by seeing his brilliant performance in the film. Bharath also played a key role in the film.
Can you briefly tell what ‘Spyder’ is about?
If we take Murugadoss’ films like ‘Kaththi’ and ‘Ramana’, they have direct messages. ‘Thuppakki’ and ‘Gajini’ goes on in action pattern. In the same way, ‘Spyder’ goes on in action mode and internally there is a message.
Music appears to have scored good marks?
Harris Jayraj’s tunes have got tremendous response. He has given extraordinary background score. I am sure audience is going to be thrilled by background score.
What are your next projects?
My next film is with Koratala Shiva garu. We will announce the rest of the details about the film in 10 or 20 days. I committed to star in a film under Rajamouli garu’s direction. Once I complete my ongoing projects and Rajamouli completes his projects, we will start our venture. I am eagerly waiting to work with Rajamouli garu.
