Producer KE Gnanavel Raja is confident that 'Kanguva' will continue to pick up pace at the box office. In his interview to the Tollywood media on Friday, the Studio Green supremo analyzed the film's day-one run, saying that it was very good.
He lauded Suriya, Bobby Deol, the film's dedicated crew, and also spoke a bit about 'Kanguva 2'. "The sequel will go on the floors after director Siva completes his upcoming project with Ajith sir," KE added.
I am glad that our movie has garnered more collections in Telugu than in Tamil. Within a few days, 'Kanguva' is going to be the highest grossing film in Suriya's career.
It is true that there were issues on the day before the theatrical release. Distribution is not an easy game. Even in Chennai, 12 screens were confirmed as late as midnight. 'Kanguva 2' is going to be wild. The story is ready. The full cast is not finalized yet. Since director Siva's next movie with Ajith will be released for Pongal or Summer 2026, we should be able to kickstart the shoot of 'Kanguva 2' two months after that.
Suriya sir has promoted 'Kanguva' for almost 32 days. We are waiting for Prabhas sir to watch our movie and provide his feedback.
We at Studio Green are gearing up for the release of 'Vaa Vaathiyaar', starring Karthi and Krithi Shetty in lead roles. The film will likely release in late January or February next year.
