Inspired from the hit talent show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Zee Telugu in association with VTV(Vyjayanthi Tele Ventures) has launched the new talent hunt show for aspiring singer of Andhra Pradesh, Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa, that will make a path for them to join the elite of our music industry.

Auditions for the show began on the 4th October at Vijayanagaram and then proceeded to Rajahmundry, Vizag, Vijayawada and Warangal with the final audition held on 19th in Hyderabad. 48 contestants have been short listed who will be brought under one roof for a 35 episode show that will go on air every Thursday and Friday from 2nd November. From the 26th episode the audience's vote, via SMS, will be considered along with the jury's vote to select the winner. The final winner will be chosen entirely by the public. The organizers are planning to bring together all the music greats of the Telugu Industry for the final judgment day, to be held in Hyderabad. Sets for the show will designed by Anand Sai.

A press meet was held on 27th October at Touch by Zee Telugu and VTV to talk about the show and about the newly launched VTV by C.Aswini Dutt. Present at the press meet were C.Aswini Dutt (VTV Chairman), Swapna Dutt (VTV Managing director), Vishnu Vardhan Induri (VTV President Operations), Ajay (Zee Telugu), Singer Sunitha, Y.V.S.Choudary and Anand Sai.

"VTV will produce small screen software in various languages" Vishnu Vardhan Induri, VTV President Operations, said "I have been associated with the Television industry for the past three years and though I had many ideas they could not be implemented due to certain limitations. VTV is going make those dreams come true. Zee's Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa is a big hit in Hindi and we are going to recreate the same magic on an equal magnitude in Telugu. The very best of our music industry will be judging and guiding the contestants in the show. I am very confidant of the show success".

I want to promote new and upcoming talent and I could not completely achieve that even though I established offices with Raghavendra Rao and Allu Arvind. Now I am happy that Zee is helping me achieve that objective." Talking about his daughter Swapna Dutt, he continued "I was very proud of her when she came to me with so many ideas after she completed her MBA. I am confident that Vyjayanthi has a good successor in Swapna and that VTV will earn the good will and support that Vyjayanthi Movie's has received from the public".

Singer Sunitha, who will be hosting Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa, expressed her happiness on being associated with the show while guest Y.V.S.Choudary applauded Zee Telugu and Aswini Dutt for coming up with the much needed talent hunt. He also complimented Swapna Dutt saying that she was the right person to head Vyjayanthi Movie's after Aswini Dutt.
