The makers of Yogi, in collaboration with Gemini television conducted the contest Ammako Kaanuka. The winner of the contest, Subrahmanyam, was presented with golden anklets at a function organized at Devi 70mm theater on 30th January. The film's cast and crew including director V.V.Vinayak, producers Chandra Pratap Reddy and Sudershan, Urvasi Sarada, Kota, Chalapathi Rao, Subbaraju and Rejendra Kumar were present one the occasion.

"I was apprenshive about the film's success on the first two days after its release" director V.V.Vinayak said "I did not know whether people would appreciate the point that I put across through the film. But I am thankful to all the Telugu audiences' who made this film a success. I have and will always strive to make films that the audiences' will appreciate".

"I have two sons in this film" veteran actress Urvasi Sarada said "one is Yogi and the other is director Vinayak. Though I was initially doubtful about my role in the movie, Vinayak has done a good job of the characterization. Prabhas is a good actor and he has performed well in the movie".
