The audio of ‘Gundello Godari’ was launched on Wednesday (October 17th, 2012) at Gandharva Mahal in Hyderabad. It was a grand event with the presence of Dr Mohan Babu, Ilayaraja, D K Aruna, Jaya Sudha, MM Keeravani, Koti, Parachuri Gopala Krishna, Manchu Manoj, Vishnu, Aadi Pinisetty, Sandeep Kishan, Chandra Bose, Ananth Sriram and many others.
After releasing the audio CDs maestro Ilayaraja said, “I do not want to talk about the tunes that I gave for the film I worked. But I can tell one thing for sure that Lakshmi’s performance is outstanding in this film. I pray to God that this film should become a big hit. I request the audience to watch this film and encourage Lakshmi.”
Dr Mohan Babu said, “A film can become successful only with the blessings of God since no one predict the success or failure of the film. However one should have the willpower to accomplish his/her goals in this competitive world. I’ve seen that willpower in my daughter.” He praised Ilayaraja saying, “My association with Ilayaraja is continuing from a very long period. He believes in the people’s blessings than awards. We are lucky that he has provided music for my daughter’s film without even asking for remuneration.”
About Gundello Godari he said, “This movie is based on the novel written by B S Rama Rao garu. Lakshmi got that novel through Mullapudi Ramana garu. The story of ‘Gundello Godari’ is based on the 1986 floods in Godavari district. The director is responsible for the success or failure of the film. Ilayaraja garu gave a positive feedback when I met him during the re-recording time and I hope his words will come true by the grace of Lord Srirama. The director’s did a great job than what he narrated. ‘Gundello Godari’ will be a landmark film for Aadi in his career just as ‘Pedarayudu’ was for me.”
“As a father I should not praise my own children. People should judge and reward them accordingly. But I’m sure my daughter will earn all types of awards in India through this film. Ilayaraja’s re-recording is sure to take this film to the Oscar range. I pray to God that our association with Ilayaraja should continue like this forever. I congratulate Lakshmi for winning her first Nandi Award as the Best Lady Villain, he concluded his speech and released the trailer.
