Saahasam Success Meet

Gopichand and Taapsee starrer ‘Saahasam’ opened to theaters on July 12th with success talk. Directed by Chandrasekhar Yeleti and produced by ‘Chatrapati’ Prasad, ‘Saahasam’ is being screened in all its centers with houseful collections. At this juncture, the film unit organised a success meet on Wednesday in Hyderabad. Gopichand, Taapsee, producer Prasad, lyricist Ananth Sriram and other unit members participated.

Gopichand said, “I would like to thank the audience in Andhra and abroad for watching the movie and enjoying it. It’s our 1 ½ year hard work which gave us the fruitful results today. Our producer never compromised on anything despite the budget overshooted than what we estimated. I’m ready to do another film under this banner. Our director has been working hard right from the time we decided to do this project. Similarly Shyam Dutt, Selva and other technicians also have put in lot of efforts from their part. It’s mainly five people who are very important for a film. They are producer, director, cameraman, art director and music director. They are main five pillars to a film. We did few fight scenes on horses even without oxygen at one stage. I’m feeling happy when people are appreciating it saying that it’s like a Hollywood film. I thank my fans for giving good openings to the film even if I had come after 1 ½ years.”

Taapsee said, “Saahasam is my first ever solo hit in my career. I’ve been looking forward to this film for the past three years. I was keen to work with Chandu (director) even before I listened to this story. We did this film with risky stunts on horses even without oxygen. However, I predicted the success while doing this film. I learnt how hard it is to do a film by imagining invisible things as visible. Nonetheless we are enjoying the fruitful results of our hardwork.”

Ananth Sriram commented, “It’s very easy to write songs for a love story and commercial oriented movies. But when it comes to a film like ‘Saahasam’, the entire credit goes to technicians however great songs we write. I wrote three songs in this film. But the success is due to the technicians’ team.”

Producer BVSN Prasad said, “I’m very happy to note that the audience is getting connected well with the film and stood up to our expectations.”
