Since the announcement of the pre-release function of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s much anticipated film ‘Khaidi No 150’, it was expected to be an event to watch out for. And on Saturday evening, the event played out as expected and calling it grand might be an understatement. The function of 2017’s most awaiting film was held in a grand level on January 7, at Haailand Resort and Theme Park in Chinakakani which is situated between Vijayawada and Guntur in the presence of top people of the film industry, political leaders and fans. As sea of people waited at the venue to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars, the security guards had a tough time controlling the crowd. There was, literally, a pandemonium at the venue when stars walked in. Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao graced the event as chief guest and launched the theatrical trailer.
Megastar Chiranjeevi turned emotion by seeing whistles, High-pitched sounds and applause after nearly a decade. The actor said, “I experienced the power of admiration. I made my re-entry after a long gap only because of your admiration and support. Whistles and sounds saying ‘Boss Is Back’ has given me immense happiness. I would like to say one thing about Dasari Narayana Rao garu. When my still wearing khaidi dress came out, Dasari Narayana Rao garu suggested the title ‘Khaidi No 150’ after watching the still. After discussing with the director, we have finalised the same title. I am able to come back with the same charm and power even after nearly a decade only because of my fans’ love and affection. I went through several scripts before finalising ‘Khaidi No 150’. But, no script has impressed me. I was very much impressed by Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’ directed by AR Murugadoss and therefore decided to remake that film. The film will have all elements which audience and my fans look for. I felt that Vinayak is the perfect director to handle this film. Vinayak has accepted to direct this film and I consider this as my first achievement. The film will be very interesting from starting till the end. It is perfectly blended with all elements like wonderful dances, fights, emotions and also improves social responsibility. When Charan was busy with ‘Dhruva’, Vinayak garu has handled production department also. Kajal has given great competition to me. Kajal has created a record. She had done hit films with my son and doing with me also. Paruchuri Bothers have given support to the film with their logical dialogues. My relationship with Vinayak has become stronger through this film. Cameraman Rathnavelu has presented me as old Chiranjeevi. Songs provided by Devi Sri Prasad have vent viral in YouTube. His tunes have given great energy to me. I wish Cherry will join in the list of top producers after this film. I wish my brother Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ and Sharwanand’s ‘Shatamanam Bhavathi’ and all the films which are releasing for this Sankranti will become big success. I am thankful to Subbarami Reddy garu, Minister Pattipati Pullarao, Kamineni Srinivasa Rao and all other guests, directors and producers for gracing the function.”
On this occasion, Dasari Narayana Rao said, “The film ‘Khaidi No 150’ is the answer for the sea of fans who are waiting for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s comeback film. Chiranjeevi has reached this position with lot of hard work and dedication. ‘Khaidi No 150’ is the answer for the people who are thinking can he do dances and fights. We will see him as a 20 year-old-guy in this film and with this we can understand how hard he worked for the makeover. I have seen a song in the beginning of the film. For a moment I was in dilemma if he is Chiranjeevi or Ram Charan or Allu Arjun. There is an interval fight. I am sure everyone will say that Chiranjeevi proved his mettle. Sankranti festival already started on Jan 11. Vinayak garu has crafted the film more wonderfully than ‘Tagore’. ‘Khaidi No 150’ is coming to audience to give a useful message. It’s a record that a star hero’s son has produced a star hero’s film.”

Producer and actor Ram Charan said, “Without Vinayak garu, there is no ‘Khaidi No 150’. Not just as a director, he also handled production department. The film is coming to audience for Sankranthi 2017.”
Addressing the gathering, director VV Vinayak said, “Annaya has given wonderful opportunity to direct ‘Khaidi No 150’. The film has all elements which Chiranjeevi’s fans look for. I am extremely confident that the film will become big hit.”
