Brahmanandam Felicitates Artist BKS Varma

Comedy king Brahmanandam is ruling the kingdom of comedy in our Telugu film industry. Acting is his profession. Next to his work, he has interests in studying right from contemporary affairs to literature. After working hard without a break in his profession, he enjoys studying magazines before going to sleep. Swathi is the largest circulated Telugu weekly magazine since few decades. Not just with the inside stories, the magazine has the speciality to grab attention from all readers right from the cover page itself.

Lord Venkateswara on the cover page of Swathi magazine has caught much attention from the comedian Brahmanandam. The actor has seen the name BKS Varma. He felt how wonderful the painting is and thought that he might be a new guy. He took the phone number from Swathi magazine editor and called the painter BKS Varma. Then the comedian came to know that he is not the young guy or a new guy, but he is a noted artist in Karnataka. The painter has huge number of fans. Basically Brahmanandam is a great devotee of lord Venkateswara. The actor requested the artist to sketch the painting of lord Venkateswara in the hall of his new house. BKS Varma, upon the request of Brahmanandam, has sketched the painting of lord Venkateswara in the actor’s new house in the city. The painting with the dimensions 6 by 8 feet, took nine months to be completed.

The portrait has brought special attraction to the actor’s hall. Everyone who visits Brahmanandam’s house are showering praises on the portrait and inquiring about the painter. On Thursday, i.e. on August 4, Brahmanandam has invited all the people who praised the painting and introduced the artist BKS Varma, who has sketched the picture of lord Venkateswara, to them.

Famous artist BKS Varma was felicitated by ace comedian Brahmanandam and Darsakendrulu K Raghavendra Rao in Hyderabad on Thursday. Brahmanandam and K Raghavendra Rao presented Swarna Kankanam to the painter.

On this occasion, Brahmanandam said, “I was awestruck by the painting of lord Venkateswara on the cover page of Swathi magazine sketched by BKS Varma. I called him to praise his art. I wondered knowing that he is a noted artist in Karnataka. I requested him to sketch the painting of Lord Venkateswara in our house. He sketched the painting with lot of dedication and commitment for nine months. Every time I watch the painting I admire his craftsmanship. Everyone, who watched the painting are admiring him. I too felt very happy and decided to introduce him to all of them and presented him the Swarna Kankanam.”

BKS Varma said, “I am big fan of Brahmanandam. I like his acting. There’s nothing more valuable than laughing. He is a comedy king, who leaves audience in splits. Such a great person requested me to sketch the painting. I sketched the painting with lot of dedication and commitment. It took nine months. I believe that Lord Venkateswara himself blessed me to sketch his painting.”
