Trending Tweets Art Exhibition by Anand Gadapa at Kalakriti Art Gallery

Kalakriti Art Gallery presents to you a show that charts both sculptures and paintings by Artist Shiva Rama Chary. Y and Anand Gadapa titled 'Trending Tweets'

Shivarama Chary is well-known professional sculptor based in Hyderabad had studied sculpture from University of Hyderbad, whereas Anand Gadapa is an Art historian and Critic, who pursued his education in M.S.llniversity of Baroda and presently working as Assistant Professor in College of Fine Arts, JNAFAU, Hyderabad. The Artist duo is known to each other for more than two decades and showing together for the first time in Hyderabad.

Shivarama Chary
Shivarama Chary's "Blossoming Love" series is to express the eternal bond exemplifying the Yin and Yan. The male and female figurines predominantly occupy the heavily treated and patinized brass surfaces. He sculpts in order to forge a dialogue between, what is generally called, the 'inner" and the 'outer' realms of human consciousness. In doing so, there is no attempt to favor either the inner or the outer, but a creative engagement with the never-ending tension that permeates the world of things and the world of thoughts, emotions or feelings. The human figure seems in an eternal quest in these sculptures to transcend the limitations of material, time, space, and gravity. Every single piece represents that moment when knowledge leads to freedom, when clarity and lucidity gives wings to a person's corporeal self, impelling him to take flight and rise to nothing more specific than freedom itself. It is a freedom from the limitations that are always a given and a freedom to just be oneself. This achieved self is not an object of advertisement or of exhibition but one that simply revels in its own realization of pleasure, pain, happiness and sorrow. It is not bound by any predetermined notion of identity and does not limit itself by getting buried in a phoney essence. Rather, this sense of clarity and lucidity unites the sculptor and the sculpture with all that has been created and all that continues to be created, not as a critic or a commentator, but as a witness and a disinterested chronicler.
