Tell me what you eat and I will tell you what you are", said the famous 19th century French gastronome, and it fits well in today's launch of Chef Inam's new terrace top restaurant "Kingdom of Barbeque”, with an overwhelming theme of Historical Warriors of the World.
Chef Inam, who is an ardent believer in the idea that food controls health, is not new to the world of BBQ. His accolades boast of catering to some of Hollywood’s top celebrities to the likes of Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Jennifer Connelly, to name a few and has also, upon the recommendation of the Mayor of Ohio, USA, been featured on Fox News. His skill in BBQ has been appreciated by one of the world’s top public intellectuals,
Noam Chomsky himself. The unsung shining star of Hyderabad returned to his roots and has since served a diverse variety of guests who frequent his present restaurant, ranging from Hyderabad’s top connoisseurs to diplomats from various countries to film stars to the likes of Mahesh Babu and Salman Khan even.
The American Consulate’s Public Affairs Officer, Mr. Gabriel Hons-Olivier, did the honour of inaugurating the new restaurant and acknowledged Chef Inam’s gratitude to the opportunities and recognition that the USA had offered him to enable his success in Hyderabad. Upon cutting the ribbon to inaugurate the new BBQ destination, Mr. Hons-Olivier said:
"Food is key to one’s healthy but for diplomacy, it is certainly also a key. Food is one of the most important bridges between cultures, alongside items like languages, music and dance, for example. In fact we have a word for this - we call this “Food Diplomacy!” Our Consul General, Kathy Hadda, certainly felt that way when she cooked Telugu dishes about a year ago, to the delight of hundreds of thousands of social media followers. I am honored and delighted to be part of this inauguration today, as Chef Inam is possibly the best example of the cultural bridges between the U.S. and India, and the best Food Diplomacy ambassador! I wish him and his team a great deal of success with his new venture!”
The “Warrior” theme of the restaurant reflects Chef Inam’s relentless desire to achieve his goals, and says his journey has been no less than that of a struggling warrior’s — from a humble roadside grill in Masab Tank to a 7,100 sqft quaintly designed 7th floor rooftop restaurant in Banjara Hills.
Kingdom of Barbeque is most certainly a much awaited BBQ landmark for the city of Hyderabad. It is Located in the Lane adjacent to Karvy, 7th floor, Silver towers, Road No 10 Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
