Transcend artist Ramakanth Thumrugoti to present his latest series - Lightness of the living moments, in Japan

Hyderabad - On Invitation, Transcend artist Ramakanth Thumrugoti will present his latest solo exhibition of series titled - Lightness of the living moments in Hikone city, Japan in November this year. A curtain raiser to this series was presented on Tuesday at Kalakriti Gallery, Trident, Madhapur. The current series of 33 paintings traverse the contemporary, multi-layered, abstract and semi-abstract genres, and are in oil-on-canvas, acrylics and mixed media. The theme of the series is the complexity of human conflicts. A number of art enthusiasts, artists, and critics attended the preview.

Profile of the artist:
In 2007, Ramakanth presented his work - Of Human Bondage in Hikone City, Japan on invitation. The second in the series titled The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner presented an array of 30 works in 2011 in India. In 2012. The Choices we made - the third part of the series was presented. The last in the series - To live again a solo exhibition of 40 paintings was presented at Alliance Francaise, New Delhi in 2013. His work was showcased at India Art Fair 2014, New Delhi and received acclaim from art connoisseurs. "Simply sublime,” wrote an art critic commenting about the quality of works presented in this series.

Previously, his private shows were held in Singapore (2007). Lyon France (2008), Boston Ml, USA (2010), Koln, Germany (2011) and Dusseidorf, Germany (2012). Today, the collectors of his paintings are spread over United States, Europe, Middle East, India and Far East.
In February, 2013 Ramakanth’s painting titled The Ecstasy of Untethered Love, was selected by the Committee of the Children's Hope Foundation for auction at a Special Charity event organised at Burj A! Arab, Dubai. The high-profile auction was attended by members of the Royal family of Dubai, 200 elite, art connoisseurs and art enthusiasts of Dubai. Ramakanth donated the sale proceeds from the auction to Rashid Paediatric Center in Dubai that serves the cause of .underprivileged children from African countries. In addition to the‘one painting that was auctioned, about 12 of Ramakanth's exclusive works were put on display at the event in the Ballroom.
