Hyderabad 10K Run 2014 Press Meet

The runaway success of the Hyderabad 10K Run has made it a red letter event on the city's calendar. An occasion for those who love the historic city to come together, run together and strive together to make difference. Now in its 12th edition, the Hyderabad 10K Run is all set to celebrate the 'Hyderabadi’ in us as it takes place on Sunday, 30 November 2014.

At a glittering function, Mr. Jitender, Addl. Commissioner - Traffic, unveiled the route of the Run around the picturesque Hussain Sagar Lake. He also listed out the 'Dos & Donts* for participants for their own safety and smooth conduct of the event, and gave details of parking arrangements etc. Participants are requested to report before 6 am as roads would be closed for vehicular traffic.

Ms. Regina Cassandra, the Tollywood film actress who participated in the Run last year shared her memorable experience with the audience.
Over 55 NGOs are participating in the Run through United Way of Hyderabad to raise funds for various charitable causes.

On the occasion, Kidambi Srikanth, the new rising star of Indian badminton was accorded a rousing welcome. He was honoured and lauded for his recent remarkable performances that have catapulted him into the top 10 in world badminton.

Ms Uma Chigurupati, Chairperson, Hyderabad 10K Run Foundation, announced the total prize money for the event which this year is a whopping Rs. 30 lakhs.

Kits can be collected till 29th November 2014 from 9 am to 6 pm from People’s Plaza, by showing online registration confirmation slip.

Start People Plaza on Necklace Road (South Bound Carriage - Along the Lake) - Straight towards Prasad's IMAX - Turn Left on NTR Marg towards NTR Garden and Sachivalayam Hyderabad - Turn Left on Upper Tank Bund Road - Go Straight on NH 9 and cross the railway underpass - Turn Left on Ministers Road - Turn Left towards Railway Under-Pass - Turn Left on Necklace Road - Move Straight towards Sailing Club - U-Turn on Necklace Road - Move towards Finish (Tossing Sanjeevaiah Park, Jalvihar, Necklace Road MMTS Station & Eat Street - Finish after crossing Eat Street before Peoples Plaza.
