To honor and celebrate the 80th birth anniversary of Dr. D. Ramanaidu on the 6th of June 2016 Suresh Productions announces the launch of a special memorial The Nurturing Hands’ at Ramanaidu Studios, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
In honor of his memory, a Peepal tree was planted last year at the studio. For a man who shall continue to live in the hearts and lives of generations to come, the peepal tree or Tree of life’ is a befitting tribute as a metaphor to his work and legacy.
The Nurturing Hands’ a memorial was designed as an extension to this tribute,
The Nurturing Hands’, abstracted in a rock formation is a sculpture that beholds the Tree of Life’ in a gesture of embrace. The Nurturing Hands’ is a simple reminder of Dr. D. Ramanaidu’s dedication, punctuality, professionalism and discipline as a filmmaker, phi¬lanthropist, parliamentarian and above all family man.
We hope that the memorial becomes a place of reflection and devotion for all young and aspiring filmmakers to the great legacy of Dr. D. Ramanaidu.
Padmabhushan Dr. D. Ramanaidu (6 June 1936- 18 February 2015)
Padmabhushan, Dr. D. Ramanaidu, remains an inspiration for every young filmmaker in the country. One of the most prolific film producers with over 150 films to his credit, he gave Indian cinema some of its finest actors, technicians and most memorable films. For his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema, he was conferred the Dada Saheb Phalke award as well. Dr. D. Ramanaidu fashioned a unique and distinguished production style and he was widely regarded as one of South Indian cinema’s most significant and charis¬matic filmmakers.
