‘Janmasthanam’ starring Sai Kumar in key role has completed its shooting part recently. Directed by Om Sai Prakash and produced by Rayanna K on Suvan Rai Productions banner, the film has music by Vandemataram Srinivas and camera by R Giri. A press meet was held today in Hyderabad marking Sai Kumar’s birthday.
Sai Kumar said, “Janmasthanam is the film which is being made showing respect on mother and birth place. This is the film that respects the woman. My father will complete 50 years of his film journey in 2014. I entered the movie industry in 1972. As an actor I celebrated my first birthday in Savera function hall in Chennai. I thank all my well-wishers who encouraged me in this long journey. The director of this film is a big history who has 97 films as his credit. I’m really happy to work with him once again. This is my 55th film in Kannada. I’m sure I would have done more than 100 films in Telugu. The director and producer are making this film only with the intention of doing good to the society. I will be seen in several get-ups in this film. Dialogues are interesting too. Vandemataram’s music is the highlight. I’m very happy to celebrate my birthday exactly during the completion of the shooting of the film. I played a very good character in ‘Aadi Shankara’ too. All boys will think twice to approach girls after watching this film. I’m planning a film with my brothers in Kannada and Telugu and the title is ‘Nalugo Simham’. While the three visible lions are Ravi, Ayyappa and me, the fourth unvisible lion is Aadi. We are introducing Aadi to Kannada industry through this film. We are also planning to do ‘Police Story 3’. We will reveal its complete details shortly. I’ve done wonderful role in ‘Yevadu’ and ‘Autonagar Surya’ as well. My mother’s name is Krishna Jyothi. My son-in-law Krishna Phalguna and daughter Jyothirmayi reminds me of my mother.”
Director Om Sai Prakash said, “I’m going to do my 99th film with Upendra and 100th film under actor Vijay Kumar’s production. 101th film will be ‘Sai Avataar’. Right now ‘Janmasthanam’ is being shot in Telugu and Kannada. I’m very happy to do 100 films in Kannada despite being a Telugu man. Sai Kumar and I worked together for several films in Kannada. The film is currently in dubbing and re-recording. This is a must watch film for everyone in the society.”
Producer Rayanna K said, “We never intended to make a movie. The society today has made us feel bad and think deep, hence this film. At the time the entire society is getting spoilt, we would feel very happy if our film changes atleast one person.”
Uttej said, “The director is doing a thought provoking film with a good message. This film is coming at the right time when the atrocities on women are widely increasing.”
Heroine Shama Singh said, “Janmasthanam is my first film. I got good encouragement from my director. This movie is based on social elements. My birthday wishes to Sai Kumar garu.”
Sandhya Janak said, “This is a message oriented film. I’m very happy to do a key role in this film.”
