It has been a long time since I played the hero’s role. I am tensed. I would love to know if the audience will still accept me as hero. Sai Korrapati has done good promotions and this has helped the film gather good buzz.
What made you accept this film?
All credits go to Sai Korrapati sir for this. My director was confident that I can do this role. Because of their confidence on me I want this film to be a hit.
Patel S.I.R elaborate…
It is a revenge drama, but the way the director has filmed it is different. Along with Tanya Hope and the girl who is seen in teaser everyone has done a great job. Tanya Hope is a cop.
Films these days release with huge competition…
Yes true. But if the films are good audience will watch them. These things don’t bother me now, I have passed this phase.
In your second innings your style quotient seems to have increased!
That’s a condition that I kept before the director when I agreed to this film. For me looking good is important. I briefed my stylist and he gave me the look. My appearance in the film will show the kind of attitude my character sports.
Are you on the look out for particular kind of roles?
It’s a simple logic that I follow...After the hero’s role it is my role that should be important in the film. If I get that feel when the script is narrated then I will do the film. You can see this in the Legend and Nanakku Prematho.
Your inspiration?
I am inspired by Amitabh Bachchan. I want to do the kind of roles that he does. He is a hero in some way or the other in every film he does. I can see striking similarity between him and me. Voice and career growth is what I mean.
Will you foray into Bollywood?
Nothing interesting has come in so far. When I get a film that matches my criteria I will do it.

You will see me in Ram Charan’s next film. Also I am in a film with Vijay in the lead. Many more projects will be announced soon.
