'Bhaag Saale' will bring back the glory of crime comedies: Makers

Actor Sri Simha Koduri is ready with 'Bhaag Saale'. Ahead of the crime comedy's theatrical release on July 7, 'RX 100' actor Karthikeya unveiled its trailer at an event in Hyderabad on Monday.

Suresh Distributions is going to release the film worldwide. The movie, set in Hyderabad, was shot in Secunderabad, Old City and Warasiguda. The director described his product as akin to a tasty Irani chai.

Speaking at the trailer launch event, the chief guest said that the words 'Bhaag saale' have always reminded him of a song featuring Mahesh Babu's 'Businessman'. After this movie, things won't be the same, he added.

actress Nandini Rai said that she has got a unique character that will be remembered forever. She also raised a toast to Kaala Bhairava's music in her speech. The composer is Simha Koduri's sibling.

Producer Arjun Dasyan said that crime comedy is the average Telugu audience member's favourite genre by citing the example of hits such as 'Money Money', 'Kshana Kshanam', 'Brochevarevarura and 'Swamy Ra Ra'. He suggested that 'Bhaag Saale' fills the void and caters to the lovers of crime comedies at a time when the Telugu film industry is producing less of the genre.

Music director Kaala Bhairava described the comedy entertainer as two hours of fun and entertainment. The 'Naatu Naatu' talent urged the audience not to miss having fun in theatres.

Sri Simha Koduri said that he is playing a thief named Arjun in the crime comedy. "Arjun does what he wants to do. He makes sure that his work is done. His life takes unexpected turns after he chances upon a valuable ring," the 'Mathu Vadalara' actor revealed.

Produced by Arjun Dasyan, Yash Rangineni and Singanamala Kalyana, 'Bhaag Saale' is directed by Praneeth Sai. The film also features John Vijay, Rajeev Kanakala, Varshini Sounderarajan, Viva Harsha, Satya, Sudarshan, Prithviraj, RJ Hemanth and Bindu Chandramouli.
