Late Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao has been honoured in the form of the Dasari Pratibha Awards for a few years now. The ceremony of the latest edition was held at Prasad Lab, Hyderabad, on Tuesday.
Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Mutyala Subbaiah of 'Pavitra Banham' fame, VV Vinayak (he awaits the release of the Hindi 'Chatrapathi' on May 12), C Kalyan, Film Federation President Anil Vallabhaneni, Ali, TFDC Chairman Anil Kurmachalam, Dhavala Satyam, Relangi Narasimha Rao, Raja Vannem Reddy, Dr. Raghunath Babu (Dasari's son-in-law ), veteran writer Rajendra Kumar and others were present as chief guests.
Legendary actor Dr. Brahmanandam, Krishna Vamsi, Srikanth, 'Balagam producer Harshit Reddy, Vizag-base film distributor Gauri Shankar, publicity designer Rambabu, VFX artist Chandu and others were also present.
Senior film journalists Prabhu, Dhiraja Appaji, and others received Dasari Pratibha Awards.
Renowned producers Tummalapally Ramasatyanarayana, Kotta Venkateswara Rao, Madipadige Raju, and others were also present. Ali pledged to give Rs 50,000 as a reward to the best hero award recipient.
Brahmanandam said that he will be present in every program held in Dasari's name. On their part, VV Vinayak and C Kalyan appreciated the organizers.
