'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', starring Vidya Balan and Kartik Aaryan, was released in theatres this week for Diwali. How is the Bollywood horror comedy movie? In this section, we collate the opinions of different film critics.

NDTV, in its 2.5-star review, opined that the film "may not be as spooky as all-out horror flicks are supposed to be but its unbridled lunacy and spontaneous comic energy more than make up for what it lacks as a movie". The review predicts commercial success. "It is a repeat act that promises a box-office outcome that could be on par with what 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' yielded."

The Hindu is mostly negative about the movie. "Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan are underutilised in this drab horror comedy," the review said.

Indian Express complained about the "lazy, formulaic writing", adding that the film "suffers from the same things that 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' did: stereotypes instead of characters, forced humour which refuses to land, and tasteless lines bordering on the risible."

Rediff, on the other hand, is positive. Giving the movie a 3-star rating, its critic wrote, "A gleefully hammy Madhuri and Vidya's volley of death stares and evil laughs engage in a ruthless glamorous tug of war in 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3'."
