It was 22 years ago that Prabhas made his onscreen debut with a film titled 'Eeswar'. The actor was zeroed in on accidentally for the film by Jayant C Pranje. The accident would, more than 15 years later, reshape the landscape of Telugu cinema.
Prabhas's impact extends far beyond domestic success, thanks to the decisions he took after the Koratala Siva-directed 'Mirchi'. His films are making waves in the international market, generating phenomenal revenue from theatrical releases, digital platforms, and satellite rights.
What next? With a promising lineup, including Prashanth Neel-directed Salaar 2, Nag Ashwin-directed Kalki 2, Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed Spirit, and the Prabhas-Hanu project (rumouredly titled Fauji), the superstar is set to continue his reign as the undisputed king of Indian cinema.
Recently, Hombale Films announced a three-film deal with Prabhas. Salaar 2 is the first of them. Two other films will also be made by the banner. Lokesh Kanagaraj and Prasanth Varma could direct them.
