School principal rant against Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 sparks a debate

A school principal based in Hyderabad has commented publicly that half of the students studying at her school have been "spoiled" by the dialogues and Pushpa Raj's character in Pushpa 2: The Rule. As per her, the students in her school have been imitating Pushpa Raj's way of speaking and looking.

Her comments have sparked an online debate about the need to restrict viewing of films based on the CBFC certification. Films that have to be watched by children only under parental guidance have to adhere to the rule. Films that children are debarred from watching shouldn't be allowed for viewing. There is a need to restrict the use of smartphones in addition.

Netizens have asked the principal to arrange screenings of meaningful films like SRK's Swades, 12th Fail, 35: Chinna Katha Kadu, and others.

Pushpa 2: The Rule was released in theatres on December 5 last year. Directed by Sukumar, the Allu Arjun-starrer grossed Rs 1,871 Cr worldwide in theatres.
