Sandeep Raj, the debutant director of 'Colour Photo', is quite happy that the film has been received well by the audience. Starring Suhas, Chandini Chowdary and Sunil, the period love story started streaming on Aha from October 23. Here is Sandeep Raj's latest interview.
Best compliments:
Natural Star Nani garu called me up and appreciated our work. He told me he has watched 'Colour Photo' twice. Ravi Teja garu, director Maruthi garu and SS Rajamouli garu have appreciated our movie. A few actors personally appreciating us has definitely boosted our morale.
Learning curve:
As a maker of short-films, I used to work with a small crew. But when it comes to a feature film, there would be 80-100 people on set at any given time. Many wouldn't even be aware of who is the film's director. I have learned how to manage people on set. It's important like directorial skills.
Talk about climax:
My focus was on the climax while developing the story of 'Colour Photo'. The audience, I knew, would accept the film if we got the climax right. That's why I shot a fictional climax and an actual climax. Suhas was a natural choice given the nature of the character. As for Sunil garu, he has seen several ups and downs in his career. That's why he was chosen. They both have done complete justice to their respective roles.
On Kaala Bhairava's music:
The music has been appreciated all over. I hope our journey continues in the future. His brillaint music has helped my film a great deal.
Future projects:
I thank Sai Rajesh garu for not only investing in my film but also lending a nice story. My next film is going to be with producer SKN garu (of 'Taxiwala' fame). More details about the project will be announced soon.
