Kiran Abbavaram awaits the theatrical release of 'Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini' this Friday (September 16). A commercial entertainer directed by Sridhar Gade, the film is produced by Kodi Ramakrishna's daughter Kodi Divya Deepthi. In this interview, the young producer talks about the film, why Kiran is a pleasure to work with, why she is thankful to Mani Sharma, her future plans, and more.
I am very happy with the output. The pre-release business is also satisfying! Since this is my first movie, I am a bit jittery. Otherwise, we are confident. A pre-release event will be held in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Every girl and woman is going to relate to a key plot point in the film. It pertains to a father-daughter equation; it's a crucial issue that is faced by many females today.
This is a big-scale movie in terms of production costs. Cost overruns due to delays and the post-covid hiccups were there, but they were not too much. After this movie, I will be doing bigger movies in terms of scale. My next project will be announced later this month.
Coming to the title, 'Nenu Meeku Baaga Kavalsinavaadini' is the aptest. Moreover, it suits Kiran's image and style. Although the title is lengthy, it is the right one. The track between Kiran and Baba Bhaskar is comical and entertaining. They behave like real-life friends in the movie. Pawan Kalyan garu wished us all the best the other day.
I have known Kiran even before 'SR Kalyanamandapam'. He is a great asset to the movie, not just as an actor but also as a dialogue writer. His lines are a big plus. He thinks from the point of view of the audience and improvizes the lines. He is a supportive performer and knows how to adapt himself to his character. He likes variations.
September 16th is the right time. The genre of our movie is different from the genres of the week's other releases. In India, our movie is going to be released on 550 screens.
SV Krishna Reddy garu has played the heroine's father. His body language is subtle. As you saw in the trailer, he is impressive. Every father and daughter will connect with them. Mani Sharma garu's background score is soulful, taking the movie to the next level. We watched the final output yesterday. I can't thank him enough.
Right from my childhood, I have shown an interest in movies. I will wield the megaphone in the future. When my father was alive, we readied a couple of strong scripts. I am waiting for the right time to do so.
