Nobody has been able to point out any flaws in 'Lucky Baskhar': Venky Atluri

Director Venky Atluri is basking in the success of 'Lucky Baskhar', which has grossed more than Rs 70 Cr since its release. After its successful first week, the filmmaker today interacted with the media in Hyderabad.

Everyone heard the story and said it was good. Some expressed doubt that the story was good, but whether it would work out commercially. At such a time, music director GV Prakash gave me a lot of confidence. He assured me that this film would reach all sections of the audience. Despite the success of my first film 'Tholiprema', about five percent of people spoke a bit negatively, as if it was just a love story. But 'Lucky Bhaskar' did not get even a single percent of such negative response. There has been positive talk everywhere since the premieres. The audience and review writers all said the movie was good. It's really great that everyone who has seen a movie like this says it's good. I feel lucky.

When I watched the movie with the general audience, I was very happy to see their response to every scene and every conversation. Some dialogues were occasionally written during filming. They also received an unexpected response from the audience.

Dulquer said that he was doing this film after hearing the first half. "When do you want to shoot? How many dates do you want?" he asked. Dulquer strongly believed that 'Lucky Bhaskar' would succeed.

The hero is the main pillar of the movie set. If the hero is not energetic and enthusiastic, the whole set is dull. Dulquer used to come in the morning with full energy. He believed in this story and was so happy on the set that he got such a good output. Those who read the scenes and dialogues and appreciate that they are good. Because of that, I used to write more enthusiastically and better.

Before the release, producer Naga Vamsi said that he would give a party if anybody pointed out any mistake in the film. When I first wrote the story, I did not think that it would become such a big movie in terms of the budget. I was thinking that I could shoot in real locations and complete it on a low budget. But the producer believed in this story a great deal. It was decided to erect sets for authenticity.

When a famous actor appears in a film after a long gap, we feel an unknown joy. Ramki and Banerjee were cast with that intention in mind. Moreover, both of them are important characters. Both of them seemed perfect to bring newness and strength to those roles. Dulquer is handsome. Banerjee is also handsome. Banerjee was also taken with the intention that both would look good as father and son.

I did a lot of research. I have seen some series. But they are not technically understandable by the common audience. Taking care in that regard, every scene has been written so that even small children can understand it.

I think films are made on the editing table. I have worked with Editor Naveen Nooli since 'Tholiprema'. I trust him a lot. If he feels something is wrong, he says it bluntly. That’s why everyone is talking so much about the editing of this movie.

Trivikram garu did what he should do as a producer in this movie. If there are any suggestions and advice, he gives but he will not try to impose them. But as a fan, Trivikram’s influence on my every film is very much.

As for my next movie, I still haven’t decided what genre to do. Currently, I have some story ideas. I will definitely try to entertain with another good movie.
