Oopiri Thanks Meet (Set 3)

Tollywood’s king Nagarjuna has created sensation by hitting a hat-trick with consecutive successes ‘Manam’, ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ and ‘Oopiri’. ‘Oopiri’ is running successfully with record collections even in the third week after the release and it stood as all-time highest grosser in Nagarjuna’s career. On this occasion, the film unit has arranged thanks meet at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad in the presence of Akkineni fans. Entire industry is showering praises on ‘Oopiri’ which was released on March 25.

Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao said, “I have watched ‘Bommarillu’ film nearly 15 years back. ‘Oopiri’ is the only such a good film which I have watched after that. I used to feel that Telugu people are not making good films to compete with Hindi and Malayalam films. ‘Oopiri’ has proved that Telugu people also can make good films. My wholehearted wishes to PVP who made such a wonderful film with guts. They can make a commercial film with the star cast like Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamanna, but they delivered a wonderful film. I like Nagarjuna’s eyes. I have made a scene in the climax of ‘Majnu’ on his eyes. Vamshi has perfectly utilized Nagarjuna’s eyes. Acting the entire film with eyes is not a simple thing. Only experienced actors can do this. If I were an award committee member, I would give best actor award to Nagarjuna. Only Annapurna banner can make ‘Manam’ film. No other hero accepts to play Annamayya. Nageswara Rao garu did versatile role and with that inspiration Nagarjuna is doing the same. Director Vamshi is the actual hero of the film. Each and every scene and characters are very different. No other actor can do perfect justice to Karthi’s role. The role wouldn’t be such an innovative without Karthi. ‘Oopiri’ is such a great film which I have watched after 15 years. I congratulate the entire team.”

Akkineni Nagarjuna expressed his happiness saying, “I like Naga Chaitanya’s film title ‘Sahasame Swasaga Sagipo’ very much. I did many experiments like ‘Geetanjali’, ‘Shiva’, ‘Ninne Pelladutha’, ‘Annamayya’ and ‘Manmadhudu’ and many more. If I am the adventurous, you (fans) are soul. Fans are my strength. I’m thankful to all my fans who are encouraging me. I will be indebted to you forever. I will entertain you by doing different films. With this inspiration I’m doing another experiment on Hathiram Baba in Tirupati. I’m going to launch Naga Chaitanya’s film under Kalyan Krishna’s direction. I have to finalize the script for Akhil and Vamshi’s combination. These are the works which I have to complete within a couple of months. Actor and director needs good producer. I am very happy that I got good producer like PVP garu. I am thankful to all Telugu audience.”

On this occasion, director Vamshi Paidipalli said, “I’m thankful to Dil Raju garu for trusting me and producing 3 films. When I approached Nagarjuna garu with ‘Oopiri’ script, he removed my fear and has increased my confidence levels. Nagarjuna garu has given life to everyone who are part of the film. I was asked by many people that how I place Nagarjuna on a wheelchair. Nag garu has taken us forward. Saying just thanks to Karthik is not enough. PVP garu is the crux of the film. I’m thankful to him forever. Writer Hari is like my elder brother. My life turned beautiful because of Hari. Audience are showering praises and it has given me immense happiness.”

Heroine Tamannaah said, “I did many good films so far in my career. But I didn’t enjoy the success. I really enjoying celebrating success with the audience. ‘Oopiri’ team is very special to me. This is my third film with Karthi and three films are successful. I consider Karthi as my lucky hero. Nag sir is the sweetest person. I consider myself lucky for getting the opportunity to work with Nag sir.”
