Saiee Manjrekar of Major fame hasn't had a hit in more than three years. Adivi Sesh's Major remains her only hit since her Telugu debut in 2022 with Varun Tej's Ghani.
Skanda, starring Ram Pothineni as the male lead, was a flop last year. She had counted on the Boyapati Srinu directorial to do magic. The film's failure made her cautious with her choices.
Saiee did land some offers from Telugu cinema after last year's Major. But she rejected them because the scripts didn't excite her. Last year, she acted in Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay and Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha in Hindi. She also also appeared in two music videos, Manjha and Duniya, both in Hindi.
Saiee made her acting debut in 2019 in the Hindi-language film Dabangg 3. The daughter of Mahesh Manjrekar (actor-director) now awaits the release of Nandamuri Kalyanram's Arjun S/o Vyjayanthi. The film, to be released in theatres on April 18th, has her in a glamorous role. Her screen presence in the song Nayaaldhi is decent.
