The fan bases of Telugu movie stars have lately been over-enthusiastic about proving that their favourite heroes are the most superior morally and aesthetically. The release of the song 'Peelings', whose dance moves are suggestive in nature, has only intensified this.
As per the fans of Prabhas and a few other heroes, Allu Arjun is spoiling the pan-Indian reputation of Tollywood. "AA is degrading the stature of Telugu cinema by doing these kinds of cringe songs and films," a fan of Prabhas lamented. As per Prabhas' fans, films like 'Baahubali' and 'Kalki 2898 AD' made Telugu cinema look respectable but 'Pushpa 2', with its allegedly problematic elements, is doing the opposite.
Allu Arjun's fans are countering the charge by arguing that films are meant for entertainment and moralistic discussions are beyond their realm. "Prabhas has carved a different image. That's why he could bag films like 'Adipurush'. On the other hand, Allu Arjun stormed onto the national stage with a grey role. Once his film with director Trivikram Srnivas hits the cinemas, there will be an image makeover. It's only a matter of time," a movie buff added. 'Pushpa 2' will head to theatres on December 5.
