Did you expect a raw, youthful, social drama from Gunasekhar? No, right? But it's time to expect one from him. The director, who last year was handed a humiliating result by the audience with Samantha Ruth Prabhu's disastrous 'Shaakuntalam', is going to next do a social drama titled 'Euphoria'.
The very announcement video of 'Euphoria' has so much youthfulness written all over it. As the title appears on a black background, we see an Anirudh Ravichander-esque musical accompaniment. After Anushka Shetty's 'Rudhrama Devi' and 'Shaakuntalam', Gunasekhar was not expected to tread the line of a contemporary film. But here he is.
The director, known for blockbusters like Mahesh Babu's 'Okkadu' and Chiranjeevi's 'Choodalani Undhi' from decades ago, has designed 'Euphoria' to resonate with the young audience segment. His daughter Neelima Guna of Guna Handmade Films is bankrolling the film.
Gunasekhar was supposed to do 'Hiranyakashyapa' with Rana Daggubati. The project has been abandoned by Suresh Productions.
