Both Allu Arjun and director Sukumar outclass each other here. Not since the Trailer of 'KGF 2' have we witnessed something as totally satisfying a trailer as this one. Made as a pan-Indian movie. Made as a sequel.
The Trailer, released today in the presence of thousands of crowds in Bihar's Patna, packs a wild punch. This gets us to the self-description of Pushpa Raj: Wildfire. Since the unlettered gangster from a rustic background is unsophisticated, he refers to himself in a simple yet most common language: 'international'. This says it all. It's as if he can give Rocky Bhai a run for his English with his language.
The shot-making and staging are extraordinary. Sukumar made his directorial debut when we were either kids or in college. Twenty years and several genres later, he remains one of the most inspiring filmmakers in the country.
The Trailer of 'Pushpa: The Rule' is devoid of needless loudness. It doesn't overdo the punchlines. It doesn't bombard us with lines that allude to Pushpa Raj's violent capabilities. It lets us know that the protagonist is just fighting to get back his dues.
Interestingly, more than Fahadh Faasil and Jagapathi Babu, it is Rashmika Mandanna's Srivalli who appears to matter more to Pushpa Raj. And that makes the hero more personal and intimate.
This December 5, theatres are going to know that the party is on!
