'Peelings' from 'Pushpa 2' has received a polarized response. If one section of the audience feels that the song is going to impress the mass audience big-time, the other section says that director Sukumar has gone too far. In the name of portraying the raw sexual tension between Pushpa Raj and Srivalli, the director has made 'Peelings' like an item song.
"Only thing that feels out of character so far for 'Pushpa 2' is the Peelings song. It looks like Srivalli suddenly became Samantha from Oo Antava. Also I don't think this song will add anything to the story; at best it's another item song in a movie that already has Kissik," says Kartik Dayanand, a blogger and avid movie buff.
Pushpa Raj hails from a village, so also Srivalli. Sukumar usually knows his characters and characterizations well; so, no song should be out of place in 'Pushpa 2'. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, above all, can help paper over flaws if any.
'Pushpa 2' is slated for a massive release on December 5th.
