'Vettaiyan', starring Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead, has grossed Rs 240 Cr at the box office in the first weekend (four days). As per Lyca Productions, the film is on its way to becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2024.
Producer Subaskaran further added, "The growing demand for 'Vettaiyan' has led to an increase in screenings worldwide, with the film now showing in over 7250 theaters."
The film's ensemble cast is led by the 'Darbar' acto as well as Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and Manju Warrier.
Director TJ Gnanavel's creativity and Anirudh Ravichander's soundtrack are coming in for praise.
In Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the acclaimed film has been released by Asian Suresh Entertainments LLP, with Srilakshmi Movies owning the Ceded territory. Sony Music owns the music rights. The main distribution, in the crucial Tamil market, is led by Red Giant Movies.
