Vettaiyan: The Hunter, starring Rajinikanth in the title role, is set to release on October 10. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the movie is produced by Subaskaran under the prominent banner Lyca Productions. In collaboration with Suresh Productions, the film is being released in Telugu by Asian Sunil and Dil Raju.

Producer Suresh Babu today stated that the title 'Hunter' is the main point of this film. "In the past, dubbed films were looked down upon, but now all films are being embraced across languages. We are encouraging films in all languages. Our Telugu films are gaining traction in all languages. Even Bengali audiences are requesting dubbed versions. The influx of dubbed films does not harm local talent; rather, it indirectly provides work opportunities for many. We must preserve the culture of cinema and theaters," he said.

Dil Raju added, "Initially, we thought of the title 'Vetagadu' for the Telugu version, but it was already taken by someone else. Cinema has become global. If translated titles are available in other languages, they are used; otherwise, the same title is used across all languages. Having a single title offers many benefits."

Rana Daggubati commented, "Cinema knows no language or boundaries. A film can reach anywhere based on its story. Among all the films Rajinikanth has done, 'Vettaiyan' is quite different. This film features a great ensemble cast."

With music by Anirudh, the film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier and others.
