Director Shankar's execution and writing capabilities have come into doubt after the release of 'Indian 2'. The film's trailer itself was a disaster. There was some hope against hope that the film would not be that bad.
With this, doubts have been cast about 'Game Changer'. Will the Ram Charan-starrer be any better?
It must be noted that most star directors have rarely regained their form after losing their mojo. Puri Jagannadh is a prime example. AR Murugadoss is another. Think of VV Vinayak. Think of Sreenu Vaitla.
'Indian 2' doesn't look like an aberration. Moreover, it was in the works for many years before its shoot was begun in 2018. 'Game Changer' happened accidentally. If a passionate project is so bad, what would an accident be like? We will know the truth when the movie comes out in theatres later this year, hopefully.
