Suriya is confident that the monumental effort that went into the making of Kanguva will pay off this November 14. Speaking at the film's Hyderabad event on Thursday, the actor said that director Siva commandeered a large unit of three thousand for 170 working days on set.
Suriya, praising the film's technicians like Devi Sri Prasad, recalled what Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Rana told him after the release of Baahubali. "Just as those actors were driven by Rajamouli garu's energy and drive every single day, I too was inspired by my director's command," Suriya said.
Rajamouli, who attended the event as the chief guest, said that making a film of Kanguva's scale comes with two difficulties: It's a set and the set was in an exotic location. The dual challenge must have been difficult to endure, Rajamouli said.
Producer Gnanavelraja thanked the Telugu audience and the guests present on the occasion.
Producer and guest Allu Aravind spoke of Suriya's charity activities and how nice a person he is. D Suresh Babu said, "I thank Suriya for producing 'Sathyam Sundaram'. After watching that movie, I called a lot of my old friends. Kanguva has got outstanding visuals. I have known director Siva since long. The producer of this film has shown guts."
Actor Vishwak Sen said that he tonsured his head after watching 'Ghajini'. The 'Mechanic Rocky' actor named Suriya's hits, adding that he epitomizes humility.
Actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda said, "I am here because I love Suriya sir. His role in Surya S/o Krishnan resonates with everyone. Suriya sir is a complete actor. His acting range is wide."
Director Boayapati Srinu said, "Suriya garu is like a member of every Telugu family. Kanguva is like a straight Telugu film for us. The stunning visuals in Kanguva are because of the supportive producer (KE Gnanavelraja). Director Siva has made us believe that he has mounted an excellent movie."
