In September 2024, Jani Master was arrested by the Cyberabad Special Operation Team in Bangalore in connection with the accusations of sexual harassment. The Telangana State Women's Commission recorded the statement of the victim of sexual assault. Jani Master faces cases under IPC sections 376, 323, and 506. He also faces a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. He has been out on bail since November.
In his first post-release interview, Jani Master spoke about the suspension imposed by the Jana Sena Party soon after the accusations surfaced. "I am happy about the suspension. I don't have any issue with Pawan Kalyan garu's decision to prevent me from participating in party activities. Had I founded a political party, I would have done the same to someone facing accusations," Jani Master said.
Jani Master's wife stated that the suspension did hurt her.
