Post ‘Barfi’, Ileana has become the hot favourite of Bollywood heroes and filmmakers. Yes, she has now joined Akshay Kumar for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming movie ‘Gabbar’ a Hindi remake of 2002 Tamil super hit movie ‘Ramanaa’ directed by A R Murugadoss. Earlier Bhansali wanted to cast Tamannah in female lead role, but the box-office disaster of ‘Himmatwala’ has made him change his decision of not casting her in the film.
We have recently mentioned that director Krish will be directing a Bollywood film which is a remake of Chiranjeevi’s ‘Tagore’ (Ramanaa in Tamil). Incidentally he will be directing the ex-Tollywood hot babe in his first Bollywood venture. The film is slated to hit floors by end of this year. Meanwhile Ileana is busy with her second Hindi film ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’ costarring with Shahid Kapoor. ‘Gabbar’ is the second remake project in the combination of Akshay and Sanjay Leela Bhansali after ‘Rowdy Rathore’ (Vikramarkudu in Telugu).
