The South Indian Film Industry is planning to celebrate the event of 100 years of Indian Cinema in September in Chennai. A press meet was held in Hyderabad on Sunday to brief the details. Tammareddy Bharadwaja, K S Rama Rao, C Kalyan, K Ravi and others participated.
C Kalyan announced, “The festival will be from September 1st to 3rd. Felicitation of several film personalities will be held on first two days. We are making an effort to bring the leading stars from the entire Indian film industry on one dais. Apart from this there will be several events that would tell the history of 100 years of Indian cinema. People would also get an opportunity to see an exhibition, debat and special programmes. As part of this event we have declared holidays to the film industry from August 28th to September 3rd.”
Tammareddy Bharadwaja said, “Leading film personalities from all film industries are going to attend this function. This function will be held in a more striking manner than Vajrotsavalu.”
K Ravi said, “There are several greats who have contributed their services during this 100 years. It is a great honor to watch all of them on one dais. We are making efforts to make it a grand event.”
K S Rama Rao said, “I’m very glad to share my happiness on 100 years of Indian Cinema. One should appreciate the South Film Industry for making this event unitedly.”
