Anushka, who has had an impressive success ratio, enjoys getting under the skin of all her characters and always gives is different looks in each film. For her upcoming film ‘Bhagamati’, the actress has shed 18 Kgs. Aadhi Pinisetty will play the male lead in this Telugu-Tamil bilingual film. Malayalam actor Jayaram is making his Tollywood debut through this heroine-centric film. Ashok of ‘Pilla Zamindar’ fame will direct this film. Sources says that talks are on with Bollywood actress Taboo for a crucial role.
Director Ashok informed, “Many people have been thinking that ‘Bhagamati’ is a period film on the historic Bhagmati of Hyderabad. But that's not true. It's a modern day thriller. The story was developed from the real life characters. Anushka has lost weight and she will look glamorous as well as demure in the film. All characters in the film will connect to the people. There will be a lot of other important characters as well, but those details aren't finalised yet. Regular shooting will start from June 15 in Hyderabad.”
