Last year, 'Naatu Naatu' from 'RRR' won the Best Original Song Oscar at the 95th Academy Awards event. MM Keeravani and Chandra Bose were feted with the coveted award by the jury.
This year, at the 96th edition, the Rajamouli directorial was in for nothing less than a "sweet surprise". The film's action sequences, mounted with panache and creativity, were paid a tribute as among the greatest stunt sequences in the history of world cinema.
Reacting to the tribute, the makers of the Jr NTR-Ram Charan movie wrote, "And again, a sweet surprise for us… Glad that The Academy included 'RRR' action sequences as part of their tribute to the world’s greatest stunt sequences in cinema."
The film was released in theatres in March 2022. It has been streaming on Netflix in multiple languages.
