'Athade Srimannarayana', starring Rakshit Shetty of 'Kirik Party' fame and Shanvi Srivastava released on 1st January. The Kannada version, 'Avane Srimannarayana' opened to good reviews and the film released a couple of days later in Telugu. Read our review.
Story
A drama troupe tries to run away in a van with a treasure they had stolen in Amaravathi. A tribal dacoit gang, led by Rama Rama (Madhusudhan Rao) kills them and to their shock, they find no treasure in the van. The drama troupe hides the treasure somewhere and the leader of the Adheera gang, Rama Rama (Madhusudhan Rao) dies before finding the treasure. His sons, Jayarama (Balaji Manohar) and his half brother Thukaram (Pramod Shetty), who are fighting to become the leader of the gang, also fail to do it. Jayarama promises his dad the he will kill everyone related to the drama troupe, who are on a run. After 15 years, a quirky cop named Narayana (Rakshit Shetty) promises Jayarama that he will find the treasure. But surprises lie ahead. Will Narayana find the treasure?
Performances
Rakshit Shetty as a quirky cop entertains the audiences with his antics. He pulls off the role well. Shanvi has played a good role and performs well. Balaji Manohar looks menacing as a villain. Pramod Shetty, Madhusudhan and other actors fit the bill.
Technical aspects
'Athade Srimannarayana' has very good technical values. The production values are excellent. The camera work and background score are very good. The screenplay by Rakshit Shetty is entertaining.

'Athade Srimannarayana' is an adventure comedy film, that has a good story and quirky characters. Rakshit Shetty, who is also one of the writers of the film, has done an excellent job. But audiences may find the complex narration, which is slow paced sometimes and the run-time of more than 3 hours exhausting. On the whole, 'Athade Srimannarayana' is a well-made film with very good technical values.
