Nayantara has denied rumours that were reported in the media about doing the remake of Vidya Balan starrer ‘The Dirty Picture’. Nayantara has firmly denied saying that the news that she had agreed to do ‘The Dirty Picture’ was baseless. She also added that she personally liked the film but is not contended for the remake of it in the South. When asked about her demand on whopping remuneration she replied, “I don’t know how people create such rumours without any base. First of all no one has approached me with the offer to act in the film.”
The earlier reports said that producer Ekta Kapoor planned to remake the film in Tamil and Telugu and thus approached Nayantara to act in both the versions. The reports also claimed that Nayantara was asked to increase her weight for the role and that the actress demanded Rs 2.5 crores. ‘The Dirty Picture’ is the story based on the life of ultimate sex siren of the south, Silk Smitha.
