Pawan Kalyan, who has huge fan following in both Telugu states, has done many hit films and attracted youth with films like ‘Thammudu’, ‘Badri’, ‘Tholiprema’ and ‘Khushi’ and to name a few. But the actor turned politician is been set at the top position with the film ‘Khushi’. The film which was released on April 27, 2001 has completed 17 years. SJ Suryah’s directorial ‘Khushi’ had impressed all sects of audience and stood as a blockbuster hit during those days. The style, attitude and mannerism of Pawan Kalyan in the film impressed the youth big time and the youngsters were seen following him and the film remained as trendsetter. It is a love story set in the backdrop of college. Bhumika Chawla played the female lead. Manisharma has composed the music. Cinematography was by PC Sreeram. Songs like ‘Ammaye Sannaga’, ‘Cheliya Cheliya’ and ‘Yeh Mera Jaha’ were very popular. A.M.Ratnam produced the film under Sri Surya movies banner and he earned huge profits.
On the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the blockbuster film ‘Khushi’, AM Rathnam has met Pawan Kalyan at Jana Sena office and greeted him with flower bouquet. He recalled his memories of working for ‘Khushi’.
