Kamal Haasan seeks 'cutting-edge' tech in filmmaking at Perplexity HQ

Kamal Haasan, who has always pushed the envelope in the field of cinema, is reputed for his relentless pursuit of novelty. His interests are intellectual in nature. The other day, he met with Aravind Srinivas, the CEO of AI platform Perplexity.

Taking to social media, here is what the Vikram and Indian 2 actor wrote. “From cinema to Silicon, the tools evolve—but our thirst for what’s next remains. Inspired by my visit to Perplexity HQ in San Francisco, where Indian ingenuity shines through Aravind and his brilliant team building the future—one question at a time. Curiosity didn’t kill the cat — it created Perplexity," the iconic actor remarked.

On his part, the CEO said that Kamal wants to "incorporate cutting-edge technology in filmmaking"

Kamal will be seen in Mani Ratnam's 'Thug Life', to be released on June 5. It co-stars Simbu, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ali Fazal and Tanikella Bharani. Its music is by AR Rahman. Bankrolled by Kamal himself, Mani Ratnam, R Mahendran, and Siva Ananth, the film's cinematography is by Ravi K Chandran.
