'Utsavam' is an upcoming drama starring debutant Dilip Prakash in the lead. Regina Cassandra, who was recently seen in the special song 'Saana Kashtam' ('Acharya'), is its heroine.
Directed by newcomer Arjun Sai, the film is set in the backdrop of the theatre and arts. The lives and struggles of Surabhi Nataka Mandali have been depicted dramatically.
While the lead man is a newcomer, the rest of the cast are senior artists. The versatile Prakash Raj, Nasser, 'Nata Kireeti' Rajendra Prasad, yesteryear actress Prema, legendary comedian Brahmanandam, Ali (soon to be seen in 'F3'), Raghu Babu, LB Sriram, and 'Pelli Choopulu' fame Priyadarshi have different parts.
Shot in the Telugu States, Kerala, West Bengal and Nepal, 'Utsavam' has entered the post-production phase.
With cinematography by Rasool Ellore of 'Oosaravelli' fame, the film has music by Anup Rubens. Editing is by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
