'Super Deluxe', originally released in theatres in 2019, is now heading for re-release. The hyperlink thriller, directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, will arrive at the cinemas on August 9.
The re-release is going to be massive. It will play on more than 400 screens in Telugu.
Starring Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil (as an aspiring actor), Samantha Ruth Prabhu (as a wife who cheats on her husband with her ex-boyfriend), Ramya Krishna, Mysskin, and others, the thriller has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. PS Vinod and Nirav Shah are its cinematographers.
Written by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, Mysskin, Nalan Kumarasamy, and Neelan K Sekar, the film tells four interwoven stories shown in parallel.
At the 67th National Film Awards, the film won the Best Supporting Actor award for Vijay Sethupathi, who is known also for 'Vikram' and 'Uppena'. He played a transgender woman named Shilpa a.k.a. Manickam in the movie.
'Super Deluxe', upon its release, was described as an utterly unique film.
