'Coolie' leak: Lokesh Kanagaraj is upset

Lokesh Kanagaraj is deeply upset that leaked footage from his upcoming movie, 'Coolie', has surfaced online. The leak from the sets of the action thriller has killed the excitement.

"Two months of hard work by many people have gone in vain because of one recording. I humbly request everyone not to engage in such practices, as they spoil the overall experience," the filmmaker wrote on social media, expressing his frustration. The leaked footage pertains to a stretch involving Akkineni Nagarjuna, who is apparently playing a macabre role in the 2025 release.

The leak has sparked a debate about the ethical aspects involved. "This need to reveal the 'secrets' of a film can only be a product of feeling no love for art and artists. How's ruining a film experience, including your own, anything but an exercise in sadomasochism?" lamented journalist Sudhir Srinivasan.

In the past, similar leaks have happened in the case of many big-ticket movies. 'Coolie' is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and is led by Superstar Rajinikanth. Upendra and Shruti Haasan will also be seen.
